FREE Binder Spine Label Templates

I have added another freebie to my TPT store! I just finished printing out the labels for my kids’ binders and decided to make it into a free download for my store.

Now that the kids have all outgrown workbooks, we have found that binders work best for storage and organization of work. At the end of each year, I put all of the binders into a storage bin and add it to the collection in the garage. It is not a perfect system, but if we need to go back and find something, it is pretty easy to locate things.

We have found that 2.5″ or 3″ binders work best for holding all of their math work for the year. This size also works well for holding all ten units of The Good & the Beautiful High School ELA.

The 1″ binders are great for all other individual subjects. For my 8th grader, she has one binder each for her geography and Earth science work. I decided to use binders instead of using my coil binding machine to make workbooks so that we can add pages in, like reports or photos of projects. We are also using the 1″ binders for my two high school daughters’ dual credit classes through the local community college. Since they usually use composition books for their class notes, they might end up not needing whole binders for each class. In this case, they will likely swap out the binders for bradded folders to save space.

To make your own binder spine labels, simply click on the text and modify the font, size, etc. You can even add pictures or icons. If your binders are not the clear-view kind, just use clear packing tape to attach the labels to the spine (this is what I do with my planner binders).

You can find the editable binder spine label templates here for free in my TPT store.
