I just finished a new product to go along with Apologia’s Biology textbook: a student supplement packed with activities!

Next year, my youngest will be a freshman in high school. She is taking Earth Science this year, which transitions perfectly into Biology. After learning about landforms, geological processes, oceans, fresh water systems, atmosphere, and weather of our planet, we will start fresh next year learning about all of the organisms that live on it, too.
I’m still a little torn between using Apologia with her, like I did with her two older sisters, or using something different. I have been looking at the free Biology curriculum offered by Guest Hollow. We are using their geography curriulum this year and like the variety of activities. However, one drawback is that Guest Hollow does not supply any quizzes or tests. The other curriculum that I have been looking at is Easy Peasy’s All-in-One Homeschool free online Biology course. This course does include quizzes and exams. We are currently using Easy Peasy for her middle school Earth Science class. I like the variety each day and the easy online aspect, however I end up creating or printing additional activities to use in addition to the free printable workbook pages they provide. Being an ecclectic homeschooler, I probably will end up mixing they all together and throwing in my favorite activities from when I taught Biology.
Which brings me to this latest product. I created a student supplement to pair with the Apologia Biology 2nd Edition textbook. I included items that I have already created with a few new ones so that each module would have 2-4 activities. This supplement would be great for students who need extra help taking organized notes, extra practice with tougher concepts, or fun review activities such as games. It is 156 pages long and contains over 45 activities! Believe me, it took me awhile.
Here is what’s in it:

The supplement would also be excellent for homeschool co-ops, and there is a chart to align the modules from the 2nd edition and the 3rd edition. I am super excited to see how people like it! I am also planning to created a similar type of supplement for the Exploring Creation with General Science book next.
