Apologia has long been used by many homeschool families for science. It is written in a conversational style, includes practice problems, review questions, laboratory experiments, and tests. All the homeschool parent needs is a textbook and the test/answer key book. For current editions of the textbook, Apologia produces a student notebook that includes a lesson schedule. However, the student notebook is not longer produced for older versions of the textbook. Since many homeschool families, including ours, often use older editions that are easily found used on ebay.com or through local Facebook pages, I created lesson plans for some of the older editions of Apologia textbooks.
The lesson plans for Apologia’s Physical Science textbook, often used in 8th and 9th grade, is one of my top selling lesson plan products in my TeachersPayTeachers store. The lesson plans are written to be used four days a week and the curriculum can be completed in 32 weeks (36 if using optional time for review and quarterly exams). This year, I added a new resource for this textbook.
The Activity Supplement for Apologia’s Physical Science 2nd Ed. textbook contains pages to help with note-taking, practice problems, and crossword puzzles for vocabulary review. Answer keys are included. The activities can be used on days that do not experiments scheduled, and the activities are included in the most recent update of the lesson plans.
