Remember my post about 5 Ways for Your Students to Fall in Love with Biology? This biology curriculum for homeschooled high school students contains everything in the lesson plan except the field trips:
- This curriculum contains a daily plan that includes links to free, engaging videos about high school biology topics.
- The curriculum is filled with hands-on activities, labs, and games that create unforgettable learning experiences.
- There are numerous activities to build models for biology structures, processes, and concepts, even some involving candy!
- Every unit contains at least one review game, many contain multiple card and trivia games to review biology vocabulary and concepts before the exam.
- Field trips– this is one area that I did not include in the lesson plan and left up to the teachers/parents. I highly recommend researching zoos, botanical gardens, and science museums in your area. Take pictures and have the student write up a short paragraph about the experience to keep in their binder.
