The new year has brought the promise of brighter days ahead.
The 2020 pandemic took a personal toll, as our family suffered a loss. The political turmoil of the election and civil unrest set social media on fire. Things that we enjoyed, such as field trips and birthday parties, were swapped for small celebrations and outdoor excursions. And although we are now in the peak of another COVID-19 wave, or what I hope to be the peak of the last wave, and in the heat of presidential transition, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Thankfully, our homeschool year has flown by. We have been enjoying the slower pace, and I have found more interest lately in creating and learning new things again. My spirit of experimentation has been renewed, along with my interest in encouraging other homeschoolers through blogging and sharing resources.
It will be a beautiful day today. Enjoy the sunshine. It is going to be a beautiful year. Bask in the light of the shining, brilliant, hope-filled days to come.
